Closing Time

The afterlife in The Eternal Bar.

The bartender has drinks to make Adam remember, drinks to make Adam forget, drinks to bring back any moment of his life.

Exit through the ancient double doors in the back.

Except Adam waits. He waits for his wife, Margaret. For decades he waits.

The bartender offers him one of the black bottles from the top shelf behind the bar. The black bottle holds answers but the drink would transform him.

Adam is growing tired of waiting.

The bartender says, "You ready for that drink?"
