Common Bony Abnormalities of the Equine Tarsus
Publisher Description
Veterinary students often report that it can be particularly difficult to identify bony abnormalities on radiographs of the horse’s tarsus, primarily because of the complexity of this part of the horse’s anatomy. The process of ‘reading’ radiographs is facilitated by creating 3-D mental models of the area being examined, a skill that is developed with experience. To facilitate this process, in this multi-touch book, we have combined radiographs, radiographs with the lesions highlighted, and rotatable 3-D models of the tarsus containing the relevant abnormalities.
