In a world teetering on the edge of collapse, Cailynn wakes up with a new face, fragmented memories, and a folder that claims to define her identity. Surrounded by women in identical black dresses and watched closely by a government that insists on obedience, she quickly realizes she's not like the others—some of her memories have survived the state's "cycling" process, a brutal system that resets minds to maintain control.

Told she exists only to serve, Cailynn tries to blend in. But her fragile cover is shattered when a mysterious stranger calls her by a different name and warns her that she has only 28 days before she cycles again—permanently.
