Best of the Series
As Evan Smoak returns from yet another death trap, Orphan X is put to the test again with another thrilling mission. This time however, it is not his skills at test, but also his emotions….
Faced with a dilemma of good and evil, Orphan X must decide if his next mission is worthy.. what transpires is a deep and what is thought to be at first, an unlikely friendship between two men who share similar values. Aragon Urrea plays a Mexican kingpin, despite his strong character and an unconventional business dealer, Urrea is a simple and honourable family man desperate to save his only child, Angelina.
The story of two troubled men, two teenagers and lots of action; Dark Horse is by far one of the best out of the ‘Orphan X’ series, filled with all the action, drama and dark humour like previous “X” books, Dark Horse is a story of enlightenment, love, passion and hope whilst still engaging the reader with incredible action and the brilliant characteristics of Evan Smoak. As he embarks on this journey into another death defying mission, X with the help of his teenage protégé Joey and trusty marksman Tommy, and the beautiful Candy (Orphab V), X is thrown into an unknown territory of action with plenty of twists and turns that will keep loyal orphan readers on the edge of their seats.
Another five stars for Hurwitz on another amazing Orphan X novel. I hope they make a TV series of this!! And a movie!!! 🙏🏽
