Davenport is one of the Quad Cities, in Eastern Iowa. This Midwestern city on the bank of the Mississippi River has seen a great deal of action throughout history.

Davenport is known for a couple of "firsts" in history. The first railroad bridge across the Mississippi River was built between Arsenal Island and Davenport in 1856.
