I loved this book. It is a real page turner and so topical in terms of what is going on in the world today - but from a different perspective: a quirky, brilliant surgeon/detective. I’ve always wondered how things roll in vital surgery, and have been curious about the types of people that are compelled, and have the ability, to work to save human life in this way. This is a witty, relevant, uplifting and engaging read. The unexpected romance involving the main character and a 'blast from his past' helps propel the plot through layers of mystery. Loved some of the 'Darwinistic' romance lines: classic. Looking forward to the next in the saga.
