Destination Miakka

Historic fiction, period Civil War and settlement by cattlemen of Old Miakka, near Sarasota, Florida. Thetrials and tribulations, adventures of parents coming from Talahassee by wagon train and teenagers coming by raft down the gulf coast as they meet first bears, tigers and speechless, homeless vagabonds, Crackers, and early settlers. On raft they are challanged by pirates and huge sea creature they can't identify Yellow Fever hits as they enter an abandoned army camp Go with them as they try to settle in to Old Miakka, the land of the turtles and the first church.
