Dr. No

Published in 1958, Dr. No is the sixth novel written by Ian Fleming featuring the infamous British Secret Service agent, Commander James Bond. This novel has the distinction of being the first James Bond novel to be adapted to film. Dr. No continues from the events of From Russia with Love, with the status of James Bond unknown, after being poisoned by SMERSH. Bond survives and travels to Jamaica to investigate the disappearance of another agent. Dr. No is followed by Goldfinger.
