Keven, second son of King Ranulf of Sealand, knows that his older brother Jonas is trying to have him killed. What he doesn't know is why... 

When King Lothar of Frangia offers the hand of his daughter Reena to Jonas to cement peace between Frangia and Sealand, Keven is suspicious... 

Is King Lothar really interested in peace between the lands, or does he really plan on invasion, to conquer Sealand and obtain magical dragon scales to protect him from all harm? After all, the Dragon's Roost is on Mount Eyrie in Sealand, one of only three roosts in the known world. 

Sylths are abroad in the land, loathsome lizard-like creatures, the threat of death lurks around every corner, treachery is in the air, but Keven and Reena must face these perils together for the sake of both their lands.
