Finding Half

In this book Millie the Mathematician helps us learn about fractions and, in particular, halves. We learn that halving an object or group results in two equal parts and that these two parts can be summed to make up the whole. Millie the Mathematician represents the concepts of halves and wholes using everyday shapes, objects and groups of objects. This book addresses the learning outcome “Recognise and describe one half as one of two equal parts of a whole” from the Number and Algebra strand within the Fractions and decimals sub-strand.
