Following Jesus

Do you follow Jesus? Dr. Webb asks all American Christians this question, reminding them what Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount, through parables, healings, and other teachings. With a balance between biblical teaching and political and social commentary, she shows the reader that both perspectives are necessary to make practical and wise decisions as believers. Her seminary training at an evangelical seminary and her professional training in marriage and family counseling/addiction intervention, uniquely qualify her to ask this question in today’s political climate. With a background in conflict resolution she hopes by her dialogue at the beginning and conclusion of this book to encourage Christians to talk with and listen to each other. 

 

 

This short book will force the reader to reflect on what is required if Jesus is to be taken seriously in this age of excesses of political power, deception in government, and unchecked accumulations of wealth. It will disturb you, especially if you support the present administration in Washington.
