How The Seasons Came

This Native American myth was told by the Algonquin of the north east USA. It tells how the brave fisher and his friend the wolf free the singing birds of spring, summer and autumn from the land above the sky, in order to save the life of the wolf’s son. Joanna Troughton’s delicate water colours were inspired by the paintings of Native Americans themselves.
