Global Air, once the pride of the American airline industry, has hit some very turbulent weather. Pat Boyle, Global’s up-from-the-ranks VP of operations, desperately tries to keep the airline flying safely while the new owner, Wall Street buyout artist Gerald Samuels and his hatchetman William Noren – both contemptuous of established operations procedures – connive to wring the maximum amount of money out of the failing carrier.
