Letters from Billy

William Billy R. Lamphier was a young father who was drafted and sent to Germany during World War II. Before he entered the army, Billy made a terrible mistake and was unfaithful to Margaret (Marge), the love of his life. Instead of allowing this to destroy them, Marge forgave her husband before he went to war. Billy sent many letters to Marge and their daughter, Bobbi, and it is these beautiful expressions of love that the book is based upon. Billy did not return from the field of battle, but his memory lives on through his letters.
