The eulogy to his parents in the form of a letter “Dear Mum and Dad” is the most beautiful, honest and moving that I have ever heard.

A young boy fiercely protective of his mother chronicles his journey through life. A well scripted open account full of humility, laughter, humble triumphs and romantic overtones. This is a compelling read that is cleverly layered and builds through the chapters. Whilst detailing his exploits through charm, wit and self deprecation the author is happy to reward you with a load of factual information aligned to his life. A great book with many unexpected learnings. This is a very accomplished auto biography and well worth the read.

This book was very well written. I learnt a lot, laughed a lot, felt sorry for Smyde, and also wondered what he was going to get up to next. I would highly recommend this book as a great read.
