Elbert Green Hubbard (June 19, 1856 – May 7, 1915) was an American writer, publisher, philosopher, and artist. Nowadays Hubbard is best known as the initiator of the Roycroft artisan community in East Aurora, New York, a realization of the “Arts and Crafts” philosophy. His famous works are “A message to Garcia” (1899), “Forbes of Harvard”, “No Enemy But Himself” (1894), “Little Journeys to the Homes of Good Men and Great” (1895–1910) and etc.
