Hoover makes words mean something real!
When an author writes the same story from another point of view you wonder how good is it going to be really?! Essentially you know what is going to happen and you know what goes on with the plot, but do you really?
In Losing Hope we see the world from Dean Holders point of view, its a whole other story, In the first chapter alone your heart just gets broken open from what we live through Holders eyes. It is raw and leaves your heart bare, in Hopeless we had a fair idea why Holder did what he did and when he did it but wow, we really didn't have a single clue!
I felt like I was watching a movie, and I was sitting there behind the camera up close, not reading it through the pages of a book, I was taken into Colleen Hoovers world once again that broke my heart and pieced it back together again slowly, it had me laughing one minute, then I had happy tears and sad tears and I was even sobbing at one point.
"I drop the notebook onto the floor.
And I cry."
Yep the flood gates opened, Holder I cried along with you, the whole way.
This is a perfect companion book to Hopeless, I can't image the two books without each other. There ARE two stories that needed to be told, and we got them both, and they were fantastic.
Never stop writing Colleen, you have a true gift.
