Magesong

Reyin is a troubadour whose magical training was cut short when his master died. Now he must face powers spawned in a legendary past when mages ruled the world and all life on it. Knowing little more than a novice, he must unravel an ancient mystery and bring to life the magic within himself in order to save an entire people, and a woman close to his heart, from a terrible death.
