Masquerade

It's Halloween and Paisley finds herself invited to one of the most exclusive parties in town where she'll get to rub elbows with the rich and powerful, something she's not used to. Despite her apprehension, she agrees to go. With a mask that hides her identity, she finds it easier to talk to those she meets, and begins to enjoy herself.

She attracts the attention of several young men, but only one of them piques her interest...a reserved and very quiet man who identifies himself as Alpha. It's not his real name -no one gives real names at the Masquerade Ball - but it is a name that suits his wolf costume perfectly, and she finds herself desperate to talk to him. She isn't brave enough to try. He saves her the trouble when he comes to her rescue, plucking her from the clutches of an aggressive, overeager suitor. Paisley gladly accepts his silent invitation to dance, swirling around the dance floor with him. He never speaks, simply stares at her with his pale grey eyes, but she finds herself falling under his spell. When he tugs her away from the others and leads her to a room where they can be alone, she finds herself caught up in a whirlwind of passion, making her shed all of her inhibitions. The masks stay on though, adding to the mystery and the fun, and she surrenders herself to his wishes.
