Misplaced Guilt

Tyson Campbell, the Marquess of Southerland, is almost accustomed to the angry stares and glares from the Dowager Countess Grouse, and over the years he’s been able to avoid her for the most part. But when his two closest friends married into her family, he finds himself forced to endure her company more and more. It’s not as if he doesn’t know why she despises him. He did kill her husband and changed her life forever.

Natalia Roseworth has learned to hide her feelings well except when it comes to Tyson Campbell. His looks of pity and remorse nearly drive her mad, and she can’t help but lash out at his unwarranted sympathy. Nobody knows more than Natalia that she had no reason to grieve when Tyson killed her husband. Charles Roseworth was a monster, and while she did not wish his death, she could not mourn him.

After an explosive encounter at a country party, Natalia confesses that she wants to learn to live again. Tyson would do anything to make amends for his past actions and decides to help her come out of her shell. But with each step, he finds himself torn between the delight in learning this new lady and the guilt of his past.
