PROPOSALS WERE NEVER PERFECT, but he didn't think things could go that badly.

Sam had been planning the perfect proposal for Dera for months.

He'd planned every tiny detail. From the first-class flight to Paris to the fancy hotel room, he'd reserved. Then, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower on New Year's Eve, he was going to get down on one knee and ask her. 
 

It was foolproof. 
 

What he didn't count on was that he'd be in Paris by himself on New Year's Eve.
