Publisher Description
The first in a series of short books containing recipes from my family in South Africa. This book contains my Ouma Bettie’s four (4) most used and the family’s most loved rusk recipes. I love sharing these recipes by my grandma with you and hope you will enjoy them as much as I do! Rusks are double-baked bread dough. Dough is placed in pans and baked like bread, after which long chunks are cut or broken off and slowly rebaked to a dry consistency. Rusks are typically dunked in coffee to soften, before being eaten.
