Outside My Window

Most of us lead unassuming lives and will never be put in circumstances that test our heroic self-image. Even so, the result of our choices can weigh heavily upon us as we agonize over the "what ifs" and should haves, would haves, and could haves. Unfortunately we tend to focus on the major, life changing decisions, as if our daily actions have no bearing on who we are or who we will become. We underestimate the negative impact associated with missing an opportunity to show grace and compassion. This collection of poems examines choices and gives a glimpse into the world outside my window.
