Publisher Description
This work is a fictional memoir, as related by an observer, about a family evolving during the last part of the twentieth century. Their lives begin shortly before World War II and continue until the advent of the turn of the century. In part one, the story focuses on their youngest son, one of twin siblings. His beginnings are precocious and adventuresome. He has strong ties to family, especially his father. He additionally has strong bindings to his religion, bonds that will eventually shatter his trust and cost him dearly. The second part centers the rest of his kinfolk, their tribulations, livelihood, and attempts to remember and justify the past that has charged the entire family with possible dysfunction. Reconciliation holds promise for a few family members at great personal loss and cost.
