Howard Phillips Lovecraft (20 August 1890 – 15 March 1937) was an American writer, who is well-known by his horror fiction. Lovecraft started wrote fiction being a child ("The Beast in the Cave" (1905), "The Alchemist" (1908)). He was the founder of “Cthulhu Mythos” by his short story “The Call of Cthulhu”. His works had influenced on modern public culture. Also, was founded the subgenre “Lovecraftian horror”, that emphasizes the horror of the unknown.
