Protecting Sally

Sally through no fault of her own other than being trusting of a friend finds herself caught in what threatens to develop into a scandal for herself and her family.
It becomes obvious very quickly that the brother of her best friend has also been implicated by rumour as being the person who caused Sally’s downfall. Paul had become involved when he responded to a text from his younger brother advising him of the danger to Sally. Reacting, Paul rescued Sally, only to discover a few days later that he was being rumoured as the person who raped her. His reputation as a successful businessman could well be ruined by those mischievously spreading the rumours.
Paul an upstanding gent, was distressed by the situation Sally had found herself in. At his instigation, their friendship developed over the weeks following the incident. While helping Sally to overcome the trauma of the incident of attempted rape, he discovered in him a need to protect her, what better than making her his wife.
Sally while still in shock weeks after the event was by Paul's gentle manner and kindness, persuaded to accept his proposal of marriage, he assuring her that their marriage would be one of convenience.
Sally hoped their marrying would mean that the rumours would cease. She had lost her heart to him, loving him she hoped that he too would come to love her. Knowing she could well face heartbreak should he never return the love she had no regrets in entering into the marriage.
Paul thought his wife adorable, while Honeymooning he endeavoured to make it memorable in all ways for her. His hope taking a backward step, when during their Honeymoon he opened an e-mail informing him that he could be facing a charge of rape that allegedly occurred some years earlier. He was so thankful when Sally supported him without question.
Sally wished for their marriage to flourish into a true loving relationship.
Paul was determined to make their marriage work he was determined that his love for her could only achieve his aim for a loving relationship with his wife.
Returning home from their Honeymoon the battle continued for Paul to overcome the unfounded allegations. Sally totally supported him. Their hope was that their love for each other would see them through this troubled time. For the outcome to be a stable loving marriage.
