At the height of his fame, Hollywood star Ike Irving abruptly abandoned his radio show, his home, and his loved ones. Sidney Lewis is an American actor best known for his villainous gangster roles. What Hollywood doesn't know is that Sidney used to be a heavy in a previous life. He's the only person who knows why Ike Irving disappeared, and he's determined to keep Ike's secret safe at any cost—even if it means keeping their relationship strictly professional and leaving the romance in the past.

While Ike and Sidney work together to go back on the air and bring laughter to American audiences, their past keeps pursuing them. A gossip columnist with a grudge is particularly relentless in his quest to take down Ike Irving.
