Richard Tangye was a successful engineer and inventor who founded the Birmingham School of Art and the Birmingham Museum. He was also a great collector of Cromwell artefacts, on his death in 1906 the collection was donated to the Museum of London. Published in 1883 this book details an account of his travels to Australia, America and Egypt.
