Umensiben Mama is an ancient heroic epic created and passed down by the ancestors of the Donghai Jurchen of Manchu. On the basis of investigating and sorting out the epic text of Umensiben Mama, the book systematically sorts out and comprehensively interprets the text. It examines and defines the epic nature of Umensiben Mama and reveals the epic and the artistic epic characteristics and literary value of the epic and the basic characteristics of Umensiben Mama, opening up new fields in the epic studies, shamanology, folk literature, folklore, and the history of ethnic relations in Northeast Asia.
