Over the course of a few disorienting hours, Kara Latimer’s life turns upside down. First, she learns that she’s pregnant, and that the mother she thought was dead is alive and in the witness protection program. Then, Kara is abducted. Her husband, an investigative lawyer, is certain that the attack on Kara is related to the case he’s working. Tension mounts between them in their already rocky relationship. But when the threats against Kara escalate, she agrees to go into hiding. Can they identify the assailant before he finds her, and ultimately make their way back to each other?
