London, Autumn 1837 – it is the dawn of the Victorian Era and a time of deep turmoil: the Whig government of Lord Melbourne wrestles to control an economic depression that has hit the country whilst the newly formed London Metropolitan Police Service struggles to deal with a wave of crime and privation that has flooded the overpopulated city. And it is amidst this world of strife and upheaval that stories of a bizarre, leaping, fire-breathing 'devil' begin to emerge.....
