Johann David Wyss is best remembered for his book “The Swiss Family Robinson”.

On the example of Robinson family, author shows that one does not have to have the usual comforts of life in order to be comfortable and happy. The family was shipwrecked and everyone else on the ship perished when they deserted it. Found themselves on the uninhabited island, they immediately started to tackle the most urgent needs like food and shelter. The family relations became stronger in front of difficulties, that awaited them.
