author_bio: Before transitioning into the executive search industry, Robert Hart was a secondary history teacher in Guam, USA. In 2005, Robert began his career as a headhunter with a boutique firm in Tokyo, Japan. With almost nine years of recruiting experience in both Tokyo and Hong Kong, Robert has completed talent engagements for CEOs, CFOs, Managing Directors, and Directors in various industries.


In 2008, Robert joined Korn/Ferry International–futurestep. During his tenure with Korn/Ferry International, he originated new retained search business and managed and mentored a team of consultants. He also furthered his expertise in executive search.


During 2012-2013, Mr. Hart enrolled in business and human resource courses with the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Management Association. From these studies, he earned certificates in communications, corporate human resources, organizational development, recruiting, and training.


Throughout his career, Mr. Hart obtained expertise in cold calling, business development and client satisfaction. He has also advised and assisted executives and mid-level professionals in advancing the trajectory of their careers. 


Originally from Pequannock, New Jersey, Robert earned a Masters of Arts in U.S. and Early Modern European History from California State University, Fullerton 2001. He also graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in History from Montclair State University, 1997. In addition to working as a headhunter, Robert has traveled throughout Asia and studied Mandarin Chinese at Nanjing University.
