The Gentleman and the Gutter Boy#5: Worthwhile

17th Century

Victor can no longer deny his attraction to his young servant and so he has made up his mind about what to do. He throws a bold proposal at Julian in hopes of having him as his paramour but the street orphan believes such a relationship would be doomed to end terribly.

Even so, the moment Victor intensifies his offer Julian couldn't help but think about the one thing he has always wanted most since he was poverty-stricken child, and wonders if this could be his chance to attain it.

Excerpt:

He wanted to smack his hand away but not as much as he secretly wanted to surrender to him. Good heavens, what should he do? His emotions were bubbling like a pot of soup.

"Certain things come with the territory if you say yes it will be my job to take care of you. Aside from money, there are many things I would be generous with. I can change your whole life if you give me the chance."

Julian suddenly felt his heart racing inside of him pumping and pumping hard, somewhere apart of his groin went into a light shiver. How could a man have such a powerful effect on him? Never has he ever felt this way, like his body wanted to take control. It was a feeling that tortured him the way being on the streets with hunger did. And it was begging just as he had to those streets.

"I…I don't know what to say this is happening too fast."

The banker slowly took him into a gentle embrace with the intent of easing Julian's mind. "I understand that it's difficult for you I don't want to feel uncomfortable either. But, at least have an answer for me by tomorrow."

The youngster simpered in appreciation and nodded to his master. "I will now can you please let me get back to my house duties?"

Victor soon gave him a devilish grin.

"Just so long as I can please kiss you goodbye."
