The Haunted Man

Native New Zealander Chief Inspector Bruce Cordell unravels the mystery of a boy brutally murdered in the last days of the Gold Coast. His investigation leads him to the uncovering of a corrupted society deeply embedded in local religious beliefs. As the story unfolds skepticism turns into fascination for the dark practices which underscore this sleepy African town. In order to solve this seemingly senseless murder Bruce will have to adopt the mindset of a religiously motivated psychopath. His rationality is put into question as he finds his cynical disbelief transformed into justly provoked fear. Has Bruce ventured too far into the consciousness of another? Or will the strength of his Maori background keep him grounded enough to close the case?
