The Ice Queen

This is one of Grace and Melissa's adventures. Grace is a duck and Melissa is a penguin.  They are best friends and go on lots of adventures together.


In this book, Melissa and Grace are sent by their friend the flower fairy to visit her friend the ice queen and deliver two magical items. On the way, they meet a dragon whose tail has a lot of spikes. The dragon will say, "I'm going to eat you."


The dragon lives in a desert. At the end of the desert is a high hill covered in ice. It looks like an ice wall. The hill is dangerous because it is very steep and the ladder to climb up it is covered with slippery ice.


Will Melissa and Grace manage to get away from the dragon?  If they survive the dragon, will they be able to get up the wall of ice?  Who will they meet along the way?  If you want to find out, read this book!


About the Author


This is the first book to be published by 5-year old author Selena Slosberg (who is still working on volumes 2 and 4 of the Melissa and Grace series).  She got the idea from the bedtime stories her mother told her while they were traveling.
