A simple research scientist, Michael Donovan's only desire is to discover a way to cure paralysis. But someone else wants his groundbreaking research into the chips called neuromimes, and they're willing to murder to get their hands on it. After a staged accident kills most of his co-workers and an assassin murders his father, Donovan must find out who's out to get him and why. But the assassin's attack has left him paralyzed from the waist down, and you can't run from a killer when you're stuck in a wheelchair. So Donovan makes a fateful decision: He uses the experimental neuromimes on himself. But as he digs deeper into the criminal conspiracy, there's no telling what the untested chips will do to him or what he will have to become to find justice.
