A chance meeting between Prince Edward Tutor and Tom Canty, a beggar’s son, brings with it the realization that they could be twins. So, when the opportunity to switch roles arises, Edward and Tom take it! Soon, both boys are in over their heads, with seemingly no way back to their own lives.
Beloved American author Mark Twain’s signature wit and talent for words sparkles throughout The Prince and the Pauper. In a sea of stories about characters who switch lives, this one stands out.

That Which Must Be Told
For years, many have twerked this story, but I am glad to read the original — which in fact does not seem to be fictional but historical.
I have always loved its author — Mark Twain, for his “Tom Sawyer” books, but never did I imagine I’d love this writer more, after reading one more of his work! Of this I say, Bravo!
