New York Times bestselling author Skye Warren, delivers the sizzling first book in a brand new trilogy, The Professor, a forbidden, student/professor, ex-boyfriend’s dad romance.
It was supposed to be one night with a handsome stranger. I never thought I would see him again. Until the first day of class.
He’s my new professor.
And my ex-boyfriend’s father.
He has a world of secrets in his eyes and the weight of the world on his shoulders. I should stay away from him, but the more I try, the more consumed he gets.
His possessiveness is rivaled only by his secretive nature. He knows everything about me, but mystery surrounds him. Shadows threaten the entire university…and our forbidden love.
“Every page of THE PROFESSOR shines with poetry and eroticism. If you love forbidden romances, secret societies and age gap, this book is for you!” - USA Today bestselling author Saffron A. Kent
Customer Reviews
A dark forbidden romance with a cliffhanger ending.
Let me start by saying I didn't realise this wasn't a standalone. Yeah, I know, I should have checked, so it did leave me wanting. And I'll definitely be getting into the next in this series to see how this ends. So if you don't mind waiting for more, then crack into it, but if you like to binge, you might want to wait.
With that said, I absolutely loved all the Shakespeare references. I was that weird teen who read more Shakespeare than anything else. I wasn't a big reader as a kid but when I did, it was iambic pentameter, tragedies, and tales of old. So I appreciated all the nods to his plays and even the naming of the MMC. I mean Professor Will Stratford! (For those that don't know, Shakespeare came from Stratford Upon Avon in the UK). I've even been to The Globe Theatre in London. Anyway, enough of my love of Shakespeare.
This is a forbidden love story between a professor and his student, but there's also this secret society storyline too. I loved all the secrets and sneaking around. The masquerade and uncovering of what Anne thinks is just a university club. I'm interested to see where this goes.
