Book 1: Riding the River
Pretty Sarah Hughes loves old Western movies. She yearns for a simpler life like in the Old West and tries to find it when she vacations at a horse and cattle ranch in Nevada. She meets cowboy Matt Garth and they go on an exciting horse drive in the wilderness. Sparks fly between them but is it enough to break free of the traditional life she led in Baltimore? Book 2: Stream Ran Dry
When reporter Rebecca Sawyer heads out to cover a breaking story in rural Nevada, she meets shy rancher Wyatt Washburn. She's headstrong and confident while he's a reluctant, grief-stricken widower. They are seemingly opposites. Danger drags them kicking and screaming into a relationship that seems doomed from the start. With a little luck and a little romance, they may be able to find some common ground.

Book 3: Lonesome Creek
Lawyer Carrie Bendix and her sister inherit their uncle's ranch in the middle of California gold country. They revisit the ranch where they'd enjoyed summers as children but decide to put it up for sale. When Carrie returns home and finds her life turned upside down, she puts herself foolishly in danger and childhood friend Russ Roberts comes to her aid. Sparks fly between them so she returns to Lonesome Creek to give country life and a relationship with Russ a try. Unsure of everything, Carrie may have taken on more than she can handle. A town crisis pushes them over the edge and the decisions she must make will affect her family legacy as well as the love she feels for Russ.

Book 4: Cool Water
Natalie Coleman has her perfect job as a trail guide in Yosemite National Park. Taking out a group one fine day, a bear attacks and she must not only save her group, but a lone rider who comes out of the woods unaware of the danger. Wes Evans was on his last nerve when he went camping in Yosemite to study owls. Never in his wildest dreams could he have imagined what his life would be for the next week. He's bucked off his horse, knocked unconscious and Natalie takes him under her wing for a few days. When he develops amnesia, things get complicated with parents, jobs and ex-lovers. And the longer Wes spends with Natalie, the more uncertain he is about returning to his former life, whatever it is.
