Winged sensari Morgan Steele defected to Vega to escape an unfair caste system. Brilliant human scientist Priya Desai’s dream is to work for the genetic tech giant Morgan built with his freedom.


When Morgan saves Priya from an aggressive Sensari, the shields they’ve erected to keep their mutual attraction at bay come down. What should have been one night of pleasure results in a second tethering for Morgan, whose mate died four years ago, and a transformation for Priya. Neither should have been possible.


No longer human, Priya is a rare hybrid, scorned by the sensari. As Morgan helps her through the transition, his enemies fight to destroy his company, accusing him of genetically forcing a second tether. 


If Morgan wants to maintain his hard-earned freedom and a life with Priya, he’ll have to find out if the second tethering was engineered by his enemies, or if his bond with Priya is real.
