100 Days of Riding - Mad Not Bad

But 100 Days of Riding is not just another motorcycle diary. It is a picaresque romance in the Spanish tradition, with its underworld adventures and exotic tales. A latter-day Don Quijote on a motorized Rocinante, Homolka longs to be a better man. 


He roams through the Middle East, from Turkey through Syria and Iran on to Tajikistan, and like on an magic carpet the folly and pride of all the men he meets are laid out before him. 


Chastened by the bad, inspired by the good, can he himself ever be more than an aging dreamer and a failed lover?


The result: of the 100 planned days, I managed only 52. During those 52 days I traveled 19,000 km, by highway, road, and off-road. I traveled thru 11 different countries and met so many interesting people that I could never even begin to count them all.
