Al-Baha Poets: Selections and English Translation

The present book contains poems by 20 contemporary poets from Albaha KSA, together with an English translation of these poems. Poetry is not a recent phenomenon in Albaha. This region is a part of the Arab world which knew poetry thousands of years ago. Albaha poetry reflects this ancient heritage and its development and variety. Meanwhile, it reveals some sort of individuality that arises from the fusion of the conventional and the modern, the tribal and the global.
