And She Became a Poet..‪.‬

My book, Revelations of a Singing Bowl, related my journey to wholeness following widowhood. Little did I know, when putting the final touches on this book, that I would once again pick up the pen to speak, this time using the language of poetry…


I have found that time has allowed for new adventures, new experiences and new perspective to hone and mature my ramblings. Chances at love have come and gone inspiring poems of love new and love lost always tempered with the continued optimism of a Pollyanna personality blended with pragmatism and reality.


Poetry, long used as an outlet for pain, for joy, has become a place of solace for me. Yet, without the example set forth by others who had taken up the pen to purge their hurt, to heal their souls, I most likely would never had the courage to begin to write again, especially in this form. In doing so I have joined a community of writers, of poets, who unabashedly share their journey solely for the sake of release yet in doing so, they reach into the lives of others seeking solace or inspiration. Paying it forward done in the best of spirit.
