Descripción editorial
Though born doing-time beneath the poverty line in Los Angeles, Charles grew up a normal kid in the Blaxploitation 70s. He liked customizing Schwinns, tumbling, and watching Bruce Lee and Jim Kelly kick ass at the Tower Theater downtown. But after witnessing Crips turn-out WattsStax with over a hundred thousand attendees like a house party, his future flashed blue before his eyes. To his mom’s horror, he started walking and talking like the Crips ditching school and smoking drugs. This behavior lead to him stealing his step dad's gun and ultimately getting kicked out of every school in South LA.
