Where do we begin with Boogie Cousins? We could start with saying that he is likely the most skilled big man in the NBA right now. Or that his outbursts and clashes with referees and coaches and teammates cause many casual fans to miss this very important point. But the stats that DeMarcus Cousins produces are not opinion-based; they're black and white and speak for themselves.

Boogie’s teams haven't had much success yet, but he has still managed to recently make his first NBA All-Star game. There is no opponent who can guard his one-on-one, and no one he cannot guard one-on-one. In other words, Boogie Cousins cannot be outplayed by anyone at his position. He is a total-package player whose skill set would make any post player happy.

This Signature Workout program will cover some of DeMarcus Cousins’ best skills, including:

Back-To-The-Basket Post Moves
Face Up Post Scoring
Midrange Post Scoring Off The Dribble
Using Both Hands And Scoring Over Both Shoulders In The Post

Background on DeMarcus Cousins

DeMarcus Cousins is an NBA player born in Mobile, Alabama. In 2009 he was selected a McDonald's All-American and was named a first-team Parade All-American. Cousins was a five-star recruit, the nation's number 2 player, and the number one power forward. An All-American at Kentucky, he was the SEC 2010 Rookie of the Year and was on the SEC All-Rookie Team. He was drafted fifth overall in 2010 by Sacramento. He made the All-Rookie First Team, won a gold medal in the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup with the U.S. national team, and was selected to the 2015 NBA All-Star team and the All-NBA Second Team.

Cousins began his NBA career with a bang. He was the NBA summer league July Rookie of the Month. He was also selected as a member of the 2012 Rising Stars challenge. In 2015 he became the fourth player to have more than 20 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, and 5 blocks in a game in NBA history. He is also joined Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor as the only players to have 20 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assist in consecutive games. After signing his new contract in 2013, he gave $1 million to Sacramento families and community.

The 6 foot 11 inch, 270 pound Cousins didn't start out as a star. After attending Mobile, Alabama's LeFlore Magnet High School he wasn't initially highly recruited. He committed to the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB), changed his mind and said he'd attend Memphis before finally accepting a scholarship to play for Coach Calipari at Kentucky.
