Descripción editorial
In this third installment of the Allan Quatermain trilogy, the famed hunter recounts the events leading to the Zulu War of 1879. The narrative begins with the British annexation of the Transvaal in 1877, where Quatermain meets the English adventurer Maurice Anscombe. Their planned buffalo hunt in the Lydenburg district becomes entangled with the machinations of the wizard Zikali, who seeks vengeance against the royal Zulu house. As tensions escalate, Quatermain is drawn into the conflict, culminating in the Battle of Isandhlwana and the mysterious death of King Cetewayo at the kraal named Finished. The story weaves historical events with romance and supernatural elements, as the appearance of the Zulu goddess Nomkubulwana influences the declaration of war.
