Hanoi Power Center

The series ‘Vietnam Strong & Flexible’ consist of nine volumes composing a travelogue from the Northern Mountains to the Mekong Delta. Together the books offer plenty of historical notes, and eye-opening facts leading to strong opinions and observations on culture, religion, economy, politics and social issues.


The first volume concentrates on the capital Hanoi as it is today and on its rise through history to become Vietnam’s center of power. The text and the 119 original pictures offer the reader a holistic view of the Vietnamese way of life in the capital among the power elite. The many historic buildings and artifacts form the background.
