Descripción editorial
This is an illustrated ePub version of my translation of Book one of Homer’s Iliad. Odyssey and Iliad are two epic poems attributed to Homer, and form part of the foundations of World Literature as it is today.
Aspects of both gems are known, if only incidentally, to virtually any person familiar with Western literature, and indeed "odyssey" has become a proper noun in English.
Book One of the Iliad centres on the conflict that arises between two alpha-males, Agamemnon, leader of the Greek army at Troy, and Akhilleus, the leader of the Myrmidons who form an important part of that army.
As seems to be relatively common in such males, they appear to keep what little brains they have in their s*****m, and conflict over women arises between the two, with disastrous consequences.
I intend to publish illustrated versions of the other twenty-three books, but that of course is in the lap of the Gods. All the illustrations have been created on an iPad specifically for this ePub version using ArtStudio.
Ideally it should be read on an iPad or similar, set to scroll theme with appropriately-sized Palatino font.
