MaKaya's New Friends

Mavis Johnson creates an exciting and playful narrative of MaKaya and her new friends. "MaKaya's New Friends" is a picture book about a young girl who has had to quarantine at home for a long time because of a pandemic. Makaya has become lonely without friends to play with, so little MaKaya pretended that the angels could make her mask and toys talk. She asks the angels to grant her request so that she would have friends to play with again. The request is granted and MaKaya and her new friends chant and march all through the house until playtime is over.
